The lessons with Master Ko and Broken Tusk were more than certainly paying off.

That much she had made note of in the fighting. She stepped back, her glare fixed upon the two ninja. She spun and swung the combi-staff, smacking the weapon down onto the back of the ninja’s head, and all that came from him was a discomforted grunt. Machiko again positioned her weapon horizontally and moved her arms up, blocking the weapon once more and diverted it away from her, pushing the ninja to the side. The ninja raised his blade, and swung down. Steel clanged against Dlex, and sparks erupted from the two weapons. Quickly, she turned and swung her combi-staff across, using the weapon to block the slash that was coming in for her torso. Machiko noticed a flash of steel from the corner of her eye. Machiko didn’t hesitate as she immediately repositioned her weapon and thrust upward, smashing the pole up against the chin, and again the familiar crunching sound was heard as the ninja’s chin suffered further damage. Blood was seeping out from the man’s mouth, staining his cloth mask with crimson.

A sickening crack was heard as the Dlex staff impacted the ninja in the jaw. Immediately, she swung the staff across as hard as she could. Quickly, she shifted forward and kicked her right leg out, unleashing a side-kick for the ninja’s abdomen region, smashing her foot into the ribs of her opponent. Without any hesitation, Machiko shoved the blade away from herself. Instead, the strike was met by the polearm of Machiko’s combi-staff as she held the weapon out in front of herself, blocking the strike. One of the ninjas rushed to her, his blade ready and he swung it across, intent on getting a strike to her throat.

She wasn’t even going to let that happen. Machiko glared to the two ninjas and it was very clear to her that they were bent on taking out Broken Tusk. The training was one of those perks too, and it toughened her up to do what needed to be done. Running with a pack of Hunters had something of it’s advantages. Those were odds which she could deal with. There were two of them, and she was but only one. And most importantly, they were very skilled and very deadly.
